How do you clean your natural lambskin booties?
We advise hand spot cleaning using lukewarm water only and a liquid wool detergent. Towel dry booties afterwards to get out any excess water. Air dry slowly away from direct heat. Check and reshape the booties while drying. The wool can be brushed with a pet grooming wire brush. Please see below for advice on the use of the wire brush, use of a water repellent and general washing guidance.

How do you clean your natural lambskin rugs?
We advise hand spot cleaning using lukewarm water only and a liquid wool detergent. Pat dry with an absorbent towel and air dry slowly away from direct heat. Our rugs begin with a newborn lamb curly wool finish, which we then comb and brush to straighten to get our Silken Wool ultimate finish. Sometimes after cleaning the Silken Wool finish may revert back to curly wool. We then advise brushing the curly wool with a pet grooming wire brush to get back to the Silken Wool finish. Regular brushing is a good way to maintain the soft, smooth Silken Wool finish on your rug, even when not dirty. The leather can be sprayed with a natural water repellent, suitable for suede, nubuck and leather. We do not recommend full immersion washing. All damp wool or leather should be dried naturally, away from direct sunlight. Do not bleach, soak or tumble dry.

What is Nature’s Fleece tanning process?
Our child friendly tanning process was developed by our tannery specifically to meet the European Union Standard EN-71-3, which is a specification for migration of certain elements in toys and products used by children. Samples of our tanning process have been tested by a reputable testing house in New Zealand and have been found to meet the European Union Standard EN-71-3.

Can babies sleep on Nature’s Fleece rugs?
No. It is recommended that children under the age of one are always safely positioned on their backs when lying on our rugs, and are never left unsupervised. We do not recommend our rugs for sleeping. Always follow safe sleeping practices recommended by SIDS and Kids, or your local child health provider.

Made with love from nature
The product(s) you receive might vary slightly due to our items being 100% handcrafted. Natural imperfections or differences in shape are not product flaws. Each piece of lambskin used by our sewers is unique; the natural markings present in the skin are part of the individuality of the fine leather.
